This is where you guys come in....
I need your 'stories' as Michael Jackson fans (happy or sad). I need you to write from the heart. I realize that not all of us are writers or are good with words, but try. It doesn't matter how long or short it is. It doesn't have to be perfect, but it has to be unique to you.
I also want to apologize here, since I am well aware that grief is a very personal thing and as such, it is an intrusion and will also be painful for some to write about. However, if you can think that through doing this you are helping not only your fellow fans but a very worthwhile cause as well (see below).
I also want you to send in YOUR photos - anything that you have been involved in that has anything to do with Michael, whether it be at a concert, fan gathering or attending This Is It.
For those of you whose stories are not included (here I hope you understand that we will have a finite amount of space), I am hoping to enlist the services of a photographic artist who will use your photos to make a photomosiac picture of Michael - that will grace the centre pages. You will be offered the chance to purchase a copy of this print along with a 'Thank you' certificate detailing the precise location of your photo.
The proceeds of the book and the sales of the photomosiac will be going to a very worthwhile cause - The Neverland Hope Fund (www.neverlandhopefund.com). This is a fund which has been set up to enable the purchase of Neverland to turn it into a retreat for children in need. They have no intention of turning it into a tourist attraction , since Michael, when he owned it, never opened it up to the public and never had any intention to. This is purely to enrich the lives of children in need. Once they have achieved this they will then turn the cause into a non-profit making childrens charity.
I cannot emphasize enough that this 'venture' is also non-profit making - IT IS ALL ABOUT YOU GUYS!! As Michael would have said " This is your time to shine"!! Show the world what a great bunch of fans we are!!
You guys have helped me through the darkest period of my life so far. Through your forums I have made so many friends from around the world - so this is my way of saying a big thank you!
Lastly, and here I hope you will agree with me, I am sure that Michael would have approved!
